No. AISKINOVA requires no account, no sign-up and no personal information to use the free skin analysis. You open the app, scan your face, answer 4 quick questions and receive your results — nothing more required.

AISKINOVA is a web app that works directly in your phone's browser — no download required. It works best on iPhone (Safari) and Android (Chrome). It also works on desktop and tablet browsers, though the face scan is designed for use with a front-facing camera.

The full process — face scan, 4 questions and results — takes under 2 minutes. The AI analysis itself runs in the background while you answer questions, so results appear quickly once you submit.

When you tap Scan, your front camera activates. The app checks your lighting conditions in real time — showing Good, Too Dark or Too Bright — and only allows capture when the lighting is suitable. Once confirmed, a 3-second countdown begins and the image is captured automatically. The app then verifies a face is present before proceeding.

For the most accurate results: face a natural light source (window or outdoors), position your face clearly in the oval, remove glasses and heavy makeup if possible, keep a neutral expression and hold your phone at arm's length. The app will guide you with lighting feedback before capture.

If the app cannot verify a face in the captured image, it will reset the scan and prompt you to try again. This is a deliberate safety feature — AISKINOVA will not generate a skin analysis without a confirmed human face. Tap Try Again and ensure your face is clearly centred in the oval with good lighting.

Yes. AISKINOVA was built specifically to analyse and serve the full range of skin tones from fair to ebony. Colour matching, foundation recommendations and routine products are all tailored to your exact skin depth and undertone — not just lighter skin tones as many apps default to.

Your results include your skin type, a skin health score, your key skin concerns, a personalised AM and PM skincare routine with product recommendations, ingredient notes explaining what to use and avoid, your undertone, foundation shade match and colour recommendations for lips, blush and highlighter. You also get access to the AI chat which knows your skin and can answer follow-up questions.

AISKINOVA uses Anthropic's Claude AI — one of the most advanced AI models available — to analyse your skin. Results are based on visible skin characteristics from your scan combined with your personal context from the 4 questions. While results are highly personalised, AISKINOVA is not a medical device and recommendations should not replace professional dermatological advice.

Currently results are displayed in session — they are not saved to an account as no account is required. We recommend screenshotting your routine and results for reference. A saved results feature is on our roadmap for the premium Personal Routine App.

After your scan you answer 4 quick questions: your available time for a morning routine, your available time for an evening routine, your age range, and whether you want skincare only, makeup and colour matching, or both. These help the AI personalise your routine to your lifestyle — not just your skin.

Skin journeys are life stage modes that allow AISKINOVA to tailor your analysis and routine to where you are right now. Your skin changes significantly during pregnancy, postpartum recovery, perimenopause, menopause and hormonal acne cycles — and your routine should reflect that. Selecting your journey means the AI considers these specific needs in every recommendation.

Currently available: General Skincare, Pregnancy, Postpartum, Perimenopause, Menopause, Hormonal Acne and Sensitive Skin Recovery. More journeys are in development — if you have a specific life stage you'd like to see, let us know via the feedback form.

Yes — when you select Pregnancy as your skin journey, the AI specifically avoids recommending ingredients that are not considered pregnancy safe, such as retinoids, salicylic acid above certain concentrations and certain essential oils. However, AISKINOVA is not a substitute for medical advice — always check with your healthcare provider before changing your skincare routine during pregnancy.

No. Your scan is processed in real time to generate your analysis and is not stored on our servers. We do not retain images. For full details see our Privacy Policy.

Never. AISKINOVA does not sell personal data to third parties under any circumstances. Your skin analysis data is used only to generate your results and is not shared with advertisers, data brokers or any other third party.

AISKINOVA is powered by Anthropic's Claude AI — one of the most capable and privacy-conscious AI models available. Anthropic has a strong safety and privacy commitment. Your image and analysis data are processed via a secure proxy and are not used to train AI models.

The Personal Routine App is the premium tier of AISKINOVA — a living 7-day skincare routine that updates as your skin changes. It includes step-by-step technique guides, application timers, a travel mode that adapts your routine for trips, and a persistent AI skincare assistant that knows your skin, your products and your history. The core skin analysis — face scan, personalised routine, colour matching and AI chat — will always be free. The Personal Routine App with its advanced features will be a subscription. We believe everyone deserves access to great personalised skincare advice regardless of budget.

An App Store and Google Play version is on our roadmap. Currently AISKINOVA runs as a web app which means no download is required and it works across all devices. You can add it to your home screen from your browser for an app-like experience.
